There are several ways to reach Doi Suthep Temple:
1. Hiking the Naga Staircase: This is a popular option for those who enjoy a bit of exercise. The 306 steps are adorned with intricate naga (serpent) statues and offer stunning views of the surrounding area.
2. Electric Tram: For those who prefer a more leisurely journey, an electric tram is available. The journey offers panoramic views of the city and the temple. The price for going up and down is 20 baht per person (for Thai people) and 50 baht (for foreigners).
3. Private car or Public Transport: Visitors can also drive or take a red songthaew. There are services around Chiang Mai city. You can hail a songthaew or pickup taxi (red ), It takes about 30-45 minutes. The price is about 80-100 baht/person. The fixed price is about 600 baht/car.
