How to get to Koh Wai Island
1. Private car, turn on GPS to Krom Loa Chumphon Pier (Laem Ngop). There is car storage for 50 baht per day.
2. From Mo Chit Bus Terminal (Bangkok) has both vans and minibuses for 200 baht – Ekkamai has more buses. Buses depart every hour. There are tour buses, vans, minibuses. Vans cost 270 baht, tour buses 230 baht. Travel time is approximately 4-6 hours (to Trat bus terminal).
From Trat Bus Terminal, take the blue Songthaew to Trat-Laem Ngop. The ride takes about 20 minutes. The fare is 60-80 baht, depending on the number of people. The boat runs only once a day. Departure from the shore at 11:30 am (you should arrive at the pier before the time to buy a ticket), and the return trip leaves the island at 9:00 am. The boat ride is approximately 40 minutes.
